The good folks at elevatorhiphop.com sat down with Harry Fraud to discuss production techniques, how he got started making beats, what’s in store for the future and much much more.

“My main piece of advice for people would be to work hard and follow your instincts.  I feel like too many get caught up trying to emulate a certain sound or producer that is hot at the time.  They may make good beats, but a lot of new producers lack originality.  I wanna make beats where people hear them and are instantly moved in some way.”

Blogcritics Interview with BLESTeNATION

Blogcritics author Hayley Woodgate sits down with BLESTeNATION to discuss their new album ‘Mbugout City’, the evolution of their sound and a number of other interesting facts that you may not know about the group.

Can you give a brief description of your group BLESTeNATION for our readers?

FAFU: Three dudes who make music as an outlet for our frustrations. We don’t make any one kind of music, we just take in all of our influences old and new and process them through our own crazy methods and whatever comes out is what we make. We’re all from different areas and have different backgrounds in music and life in general so we combine it all to come up with our own ‘mbugout’ sound.

An Awkword Interview with WERDPLAY

Posted in Interviews on August 26th, 2009 by DaveTheAandR

Werdplay recently sat down with Lewis Hegeman at Awkwordrap.com for a pretty insightful interview.  Werdplay spoke candidly on a number of topics, ranging from his personal view of the music industry to why he’s constantly moving around the country, as well as touching on who exactly Werdplay is.

“Werdplay is who Ryan William Gibbs wishes he could be at all times but is not. Werdplay is fearless, unapologetic, and careless and relentless with his thoughts and words. Werdplay is like a misbehaving child who’s been punished so many times that he doesn’t even worry about the consequences of his actions anymore. He doesn’t say “I’m sorry.” He doesn’t’ acknowledge that what he does is wrong.”
